Your First Hour

You've spawned in. Here's a good way to spend your first hour.

Press Esc and open the map. Blips mark shops, garages, job sites, the hospital and more. Press F2 to open your inventory and F1 for your phone.

The Controls page lists everything, and /keybinds shows every key and command in-game. You can change keys in Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM.

Talk to someone nearby. Press ~ (the key under Esc) to cycle how far your voice carries. See Voice & Communication.

Your character gets hungry and thirsty. Grab food and drinks from a 24/7 store so you're not caught out. See Health & Death.

Head to the City Services blip and buy a Driver License ($50) before you get behind the wheel. See Licences.

Rent a car, or start saving for one at a dealership. See Vehicles.

Pick a starter job and start earning. See Civilian Jobs.

Press F7. You earn coins and XP just by playing, and you get 5 daily quests. See Rewards.

Roleplay is about people. Start a conversation, ask for directions, grab a coffee. The best stories start with "hey, you new around here?"

Ask in the Discord help channels or open a support ticket. Don't break character in the middle of someone's scene to ask out-of-character questions.
